How does the free tier work?
Free users get 3 missions per week with full access to all domains, rank progression, streak tracking, and the Readiness Dashboard. The weekly count resets every Monday at midnight. No trial period — the free tier is permanent.
How do subscriptions work?
Analyst Pro and Threat Director are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions managed entirely through Apple. You can cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings under Subscriptions. The Exam Season Pass is a one-time purchase that lasts 4 months and does not auto-renew. No lock-in, no cancellation fees.
Does CipherRank work offline?
Yes. All curated missions are bundled in the app. Your progress, scores, and preferences are stored on-device and sync across your devices via iCloud when you're back online. AI mission generation requires an internet connection.
How does AI mission generation work?
Paid tiers include AI-generated missions that target your weakest subdomains. When you generate an AI mission, your subdomain mastery data is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to create a personalized scenario. The app asks for your consent before sending any data for the first time, and you can disable AI generation at any time in Settings. AI missions are clearly labeled in the app.

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
Open CipherRank on your new device, go to Profile > Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID and will be restored automatically. Your progress syncs via iCloud.
